This is going out to every lodge, as every lodge leader needs to read and understand. This way - You know and they know.

Moose International put out the $0 Application Fee NOTICE - Mid December. The reason they did this was so the lodges, of the fraternity, would have time to prepare their members for the "Big Sale". Quite a few lodges let me down - let us down, by doing nothing and therefore, have little or no results. Why is that?

When we see as many as TEN LODGES, on the 18th. of January with NO APPS. and quite a few with only ONE APP, during the first month of the $0 Application Fee program, with a little more than ONE MONTH'S notice, of the program - why is that? There are some deep-rooted concerns with some of the lodges of our Association.

I know the answer as to why.

It is people. We obviously have the wrong people, in charge. Lodges need to understand this. AND - it may very well be YOUR LODGE. If your lodge fails to transmit a new application, by the 15th. of each month - your lodge has the wrong people. If your lodge fails to develop a program, in the beginning, of the campaign year, and there are no results - your lodge has the wrong people. If your lodge speaks more of excuses and not of solutions - your lodge has the wrong people. If your lodge has the wrong people - you are letting me down - you are letting us down.

I can't choose your people. Lodges choose their own people. Good people = good results. Bad people = bad results

All we need to do is look at a few things, that are available, in your lodge, to know if the lodge is doing good, or not:
* Preferred Member board - is it full or empty?
* Weekly/Daily Cash Register Receipts - good results or bad results?
* Bank Statements - is the money growing or shrinking?
* Bar Stools and Table Chairs - are there people in them or are they empty?
* Good nights - once a month, once a week, or daily?
* Good people or bad people?

Many don't want to hear that they are not doing THE JOB. I am saying this - If we don't tell our management, they are not doing THE JOB and getting the results, we need, with all that was listed above, the lodge is headed for failure. We, the members, choose the management and we, the members, have a responsibility to ensure they are doing what it takes to make our lodge successful. That is why i started out by saying - This is going out to every lodge, as every lodge leader needs to read and understand. This way - You know and they know.

Please don't let me down but more importantly, don't let us down.

There are 3 1/2 months left with the $0 Applicaton Fee program, this year. The results will be posted and you should know whether, or not, your lodge did or is doing their job.

There will be a brand new Membership Campaign announced - Mid April. You need to be prepared to promote it and work it to the best of your ability. There is also a Moose International Convention, coming soon. Will your lodge be represented? If your lodge doesn't take care of these matters, you are letting me down - you are letting us down.
