2010 Sauce Wars Champion
2010 CHAMPION
MOOSE LODGE 1207

We participated in a friendly competition, SAUCE WARS, to offer a chance for the public to sample and vote on their favorite sauce at the Pittston Tomato Festival. We faced stiff competition from Pazzo’s, Sabatini’s, Grandma Aita’s and AuRants Restaurant. The public voted and we own the trophy and bragging rights proclaiming our sauce superiority!

Many THANKS to Barb Sherinsky for preparing and sharing the Chairge family recipe.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Greater Pittston YMCA.

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Thanks to Kohl's department stores, that's the opportunity we Moose members have!

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

It costs you $0 -- just a few minutes of your time! What an easy way to fulfill our membership obligation to "support Mooseheart with my energy and substance"!

PLEASE don't let this opportunity pass us by! Your Mooseheart students need you to vote, NOW!

Warm fraternal regards,
William B. Airey (Director General) and Scott Hart (Executive Director)

Administrator's Message

As Lodge Administrator, the welfare and progress of our Lodge requires a good understanding of human relations. I know someone will always criticize “if I do”, and someone will criticize “if I don’t”, so I commit to be truthful and respectful in all communications, and to create an atmosphere of respect and civility where all members of the Lodge are free to express their ideas responsibly.

As I look at our Lodge today, I am reminded that Abraham Lincoln once said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand.” This then reminds me of a modern day quote from Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along.” Certainly, if everyone works together for the common good, and pursues accomplishments one cannot achieve alone, we can improve our Lodge.

The office of Administrator will require me to demonstrate my leadership, organizational, and administrative skills and abilities. I will attempt to strengthen our organization by demonstrating personal integrity in all my actions as our Administrator, and will take full responsibility for learning the standards of conduct and code of ethics for the Administrator position while fully complying with all relevant laws, regulations and policies of the organization.

I am available in the Moose Office on Mondays from 5-7 or you can contact me via email at LODGE1207@MOOSEUNITS.ORG
